School by the Sea is an SDA institution called to teach not only foreign languages but also way of living. Through our school we have a unique opportunity to work with children, teenagers and young adults
School by the Sea was founded in 1996 in cooperation with the SDA Polish Conference. SbS offers courses of English, German, Italian, French, Spanish, Swedish and Russian. The student body is diverse and includes children, teenagers and adults. Groups consist of 8 - 10 students, who meet twice a week for 90 min classes; either Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday. Instructional hours are generally in the evening, from 4:00 to 7:45; but with occasional morning classes. The student body is diverse and includes children, teenagers and adults. Each group has two teachers: a Polish teacher who conducts grammar lessons and a native speaker of the language being taught, who teaches communication/conversion. The number of students differs each year. The biggest number we have had so far was 450 with 25 teachers. It was in 2004.
